Google reviews and why we ask for them
If you’ve had work completed by us recently, you may have noticed our fitters ask for a Google review at the end. It only takes a couple of minutes, but it makes a real difference, and not just to us. This is why.
It helps us keep our prices fair
Strong reviews are one of the best (and most affordable) ways for a business like ours to be found. The more reviews we receive, the less we need to spend on wider advertising methods to bring in new customers, and that saving gets passed on to you in the prices we offer.
It helps our fitters do their job
Every review provides useful insight into what’s working well and where we could improve. It allows us to understand what our customers want and expect from start to finish. This is about listening to your feedback and applying that to future projects.
It helps others make informed decisions
Choosing the right company to do your flooring and interiors isn’t a small decision. It’s expensive and has a large impact on the look and feel of your home. A wide, honest collection of reviews gives other homeowners something accurate to go on, rather than having to guess. Your experience could be what helps someone else feel confident in their choice.
It keeps us accountable
Good or bad, reviews keep us in check. If something doesn’t go quite right for a customer and we know about it, it gives us the chance to put it right for them and the next customer.
It supports a local, family-run business
As a smaller, independent business, reviews carry a lot of weight. They help us compete fairly alongside the larger national chains, while staying true to the personal service and local reputation we’ve built over the years.
What a review should include
Often the hardest part about leaving a review is knowing what to write. It doesn’t have to be long, just a few honest sentences about what mattered most to you.
A helpful review typically references what work was carried out, how you found the team throughout the process, and whether the end result met your expectations.
It’s also worth mentioning anything that stood out, whether that’s a particular fitter, a piece of advice from the showroom, or how a tricky area of your home was handled. These small details take your review from generic to specific.
Here is a simple template to help you get started:
“We had [type of flooring] fitted in our [room] by [fitter name/s] from Langan Carpets. The team were [describe your experience, e.g. friendly, professional, tidy], and the whole process from quote to completion was [describe, e.g. smooth, well communicated]. We’re really happy with the finished result and would recommend Langan’s to anyone looking for [type of flooring/interiors].”
Feel free to add as much or as little detail as you like. It’s your experience, and there’s no right or wrong way to share it.
So, next time you’re asked for a review, we hope it feels less like a favour and more like something worth doing. The benefit isn’t just ours, it’s felt by every homeowner who reads your words before making their own decision. Leave us a review today.
