LVT or Luxury Vinyl Tile is a type of flooring made with multiple layers of high-quality materials that are compressed together to create beautiful flooring. Unlike traditional sheet vinyl, LVT is typically manufactured in plank or tile form, so homeowners have better control of the size of plank and tile size they want.

LVT also has a thicker wear layer than sheet or roll vinyl. This means it’s more resistant to scuffs and scratches. If your LVT does get damaged, it’s easier to swap one plank/tile than an entire sheet vinyl floor.

To care for your new Amtico flooring we recommend regularly sweeping to clear any debris and occasional light mopping to clear any surface dirt. It’s advisable not to use any steam cleaners on your LVT as it can damage your floors. You can vacuum your floor, but be mindful that your hoover has wheels that turn freely, and grit can’t be trapped beneath the base plate.

Yes! Amtico flooring is suitable for underfloor heating as it isn’t prone to warping or cracking like some natural flooring can be.

Before your Amtico floor can be laid, your underfloor heating system must be fully installed, commissioned, and free from any leaks. Please ensure the system is switched off at least 48 hours before installation and remains off for a minimum of 48 hours afterwards. It's also essential that the temperature of the underfloor heating never exceeds 27˚C, as higher temperatures can damage the luxury vinyl tiles (LVT).
